Technology at the service of health
Evolv, manufacturer of medical devices specialized in the development of software and hardware in the field of Digital Health, specifically for rehabilitation. Since 2011, an interdisciplinary team of professionals has worked to create solutions for rehabilitation using the latest technologies in virtual reality, motion capture and gaming technologies.
Evolv has announced a new step forward in its international expansion. Since the beginning of the year, and due to the collaboration agreement with the NextMed company, the medical solutions developed by Evolv have been immersed in the Eastern European market. This Slovak company has years of experience in medical device sales and technical support with a strong focus on the field of rehabilitation. Its clients include some of the largest state and private medical facilities in the country.
Regarding its new partnership with Evolv, the director of NextMed Juraj assured that “after checking how VirtualRehab works and the potential it has to improve traditional rehabilitation, we knew that it would be an interesting solution for many of our clients and the general rehabilitation market in Slovakia”.
FEIS
Seed Capital Bizkaia, through the Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Fund (FEIS in Spanish) supports this iniative framed within the field of health.
This fund was established in 2014 with the objective of supporting the promotion and consolidation of business initiatives with social impact. Currently, there are 10 investee companies in the portfolio and 5 of the investments have been approved in 2019.
