The new investments made by Seed Capital Bizkaia, which suppose around half a million euros, have been made from Fund I, an instrument aimed at supporting new or recently created companies with a clear innovative vocation. This highlights the clear interest of the investment fund manager entity in supporting companies in the field of Health as well as in technologies within the Internet of Things.

It is a company that develops a device that makes possible to differentiate between false preterm births and real births, thus improving diagnosis and reducing the costs associated to unnecessary hospitalizations. Innitius seeks to decentralize the test and bring it as close to patients as possible, and at the same time, to cover primary care centres, rural hospitals, and countries that currently lack access to expensive ultrasound equipment.

The company has developed an operating system that protects devices connected to the internet in industrial environments from cyberattacks. The company offers a secure operating system that allows sensors, actuators and industrial equipment to be integrated in the cloud using IoT protocols. Furthermore, remote management enables a considerable reduction in associated maintenance costs.

Fastbase Solutions is a biotechnology startup that aims to become a leading platform in the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer, significantly increasing the precision of treatments for patients. The company has developed a test to detect the effectiveness of immunotherapy treatments in cancer patients. The first clinical tests have been carried out with hospitals that clearly endorse the effectiveness of the developed product.
