H2Site has developed a technology for the distributed generation of hydrogen on small and medium scale, using catalytic membrane reactors.
The innovation launched by H2Site allows the transformation of ammonia into hydrogen at the final user’s own facilities. Ammonia is a molecule with a very high hydrogen density, which makes it very easy to transport and store.
This makes it an efficient alternative to the high-cost electrolysis technology currently represented by competitors.
The round closed by H2Site in July 2022 and in which Seed Capital Bizkaia takes part, has sought strategic partners for the scaling phase of the industrial generation business and industrialization of new products: Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Tecnalia, Equinor Ventures, Engie New Ventures, Capital Riesgo del País Vasco.
