A team of qualified people analyzes the viability of the projects and is in charge of advising and accompanying entrepeneurs throughout the whole process.
Since its creation in 2014, Seed Capital Bizkaia Mikro’s activity has experienced a sharp rise. In the first year that it began giving loans, 2015, 5 projects were supported.
Financial support rose up to 19 projects in 2016; and in financial year 2017, the figure reached was 32 microfinance operations. In this financial year, 20 projects of this type have been supported, hoping to match the figures of the previous financial year.
In summary, to this day, Seed Capital Bizkaia Mikro has granted 76 loans for an amount of 1.498.050 €, with the average amount of each loan granted being 19.711 €.
By sector, the distribution of loans indicates that 28% of them have been for ICT projects; 27% have gone to service companies; 10% to industrial projects; another 10% to initiatives related to construction; 8% to engineering projects; another 8% to projects in the commerce sector; 7% have been for business initiatives framed in the social, health and education sectors; and the remaining 2% to projects in the primary sector.
