Seed Capital Bizkaia Mikro is working on the organization of the European Microfinance Congress to be held this week in Bilbao (3 – 5 October).
This congress, that has important relevance in the micro-financing sector, is organized by the two networks that operate at the European level, the European Microfinance Network (EMN) and the Microfinance Center (MFC).
The event, whose local partner is Seed Capital Bizkaia Mikro, is expected to bring together more than 600 people from the field of microfinance from different parts of the world. This space will be an ideal opportunity for experts from the sector to exchange experiences and lay the foundations for future alliances for their joint strategies.
Joint congress of the 2 networks operating in Europe
We are facing an important appointment since it is the first time that the two European networks hold a joint congress. The respective annual MFC and EMN congresses are considered as the most significant events on financial inclusion and microfinance in the regions. This joint edition of 2018 will reinforce its impact by offering a larger congress experience by adding the experiences and knowledge of both events.
The congress will analyze future technological challenges and digitization opportunities under the motto:“People and the digital revolution: advancing our social mission through technology”. The introduction of new technologies and their application to microfinance is an area of recent prospecting and high projection. Topics dealing with big data management, crowdfunding, new technological applications, trends in social investment, instruments to support microfinance, among other topics, will be addressed; which will make the event a privileged space for reflection, knowledge and sharing.
From Seed Capital Bizkaia we want to share the enthusiasm with which we are preparing this appointment that will undoubtedly be an important milestone in the field of microfinance and which also gives us the opportunity to value the joint work that throughout these years we have been doing.
