Today morning the new headquarters of the High-Level Design School Centre KUNSTHAL has been inaugurated in Bilbao.
KUNSTHAL is the first and only private High-Level Design School Centre located in the Basque Country. Founded in 1997 and recognized as a high-level centre in 2016, KUNSTHAL has become a reference agent in design training, the dissemination of Design Culture, and the development of projects in collaboration with socio-economic and institutional agents in its environment.
The old building of the “Papelera del Nervión” paper company, in Zorrotzaurre, now houses the facilities of the prestigious design centre that lands in the capital of Bizkaia by the hand of the European Institute of Design.
FEIS, investment with social impact in Bizkaia
Seed Capital Bizkaia participates in Kunsthal through the Entrepreneurship and Social Impact Fund (FEIS).
The FEIS fund was established in 2014 with the aim of supporting the promotion and consolidation of business initiatives with social impact in Bizkaia. At present, there is a portfolio of 10 companies participating in the sectors of education, circular economy, insertion and social inclusion and health.
